Tequila & White Dolphins” is a reflection of my personal journey of growth and self-discovery, explored through a body of work created over the past six months.

The title connects to the Gold Coast street I grew up on (ironically named "Tequila Court”) which evokes the region’s party culture, while "White Dolphin" refers to the apartment complex where I was living when this body of work was created, tying it to the coastal lifestyle.

I work intuitively, often revisiting and refining my pieces over time, layering everyday objects, symbols, and references in a collage-like manner. As I paint, I add, remove, and reimagine elements, with each shift in perspective reflecting my inner world.

These works act as a visual diary - capturing specific moments, people, and memories, often including a cheeky twist. Many pieces feature underlying layers, each filled with symbols that hold personal significance. Some elements, however, are meant to remain a mystery, inviting you to interpret them in your own way. The process itself is as important as the final piece, serving as a self-portrait that reflects my ever-changing relationship with time, memory, and identity.

At the end of the day, this body of work is just about having fun and my unhealthy obsession with ducks.
